Too hot to stay at home, down to the beach, game if ball, paddle. Ice-cream, then back to the house with the grandmother clock.
A bitter sweet holiday, where we had planned to celebrate a birthday, but instead mourn the passing of my grandmother. Emptiness except the tick tock of time.
