This painting was inspired by the song “Liar” by The Sex Pistols, the song allows me to think about the effect before we lie. Therefore, I decided to create this artwork. If the painting is seen under sunlight, the audience can view the painted strokes which symbolise the truth behind the discovery. Simultaneously, the strokes would not be discovered if the painting is placed without sunlight. I applied contrasting colours and tissue paper in this painting and also add various layers in the background.
