I paint this work for a Ukrainian newspaper following an unconscious impulse. Now this work has acquired new meanings.
There is an article in the newspaper about how the Cossacks captured the ship ... But while people are doing heroic deeds, leaving their bodies for crabs for dinner, someone just continues to eat crabs while reading the news in the newspapers.

A real newspaper from Ukraine was used as a background for this work. Crabs and lemons are painted on it in gouache.
The newspaper is glued to the MDF panel and covered with a transparent primer. The artwork is framed and ready to hang.
