Work in pastel on Winsor and Newton tints. 160gsm.
This work is of a homeless person, finding shelter and warmth from the Sun's rays, in an empty building they have happened across. The harshness of winter, the biting winds and the snow has just started to fall. The person has a can to drink, they are grateful for nothing else but the rays of the sun, providing a shard of heat as it is magnified through the glass of the large window. They have no other motive or thought, they are just in that moment, accepting.
I often carry a care kit in my boot for a homeless person and in winter it is even more important.
