Emulsions, Acrylics, Graphite and Spray Paints on Canvas
Cow I is part of a series that attempts to observe the mundane that is often overlooked. In India, cows populating the streets and roads is a very common site. Cows are worshipped, cows are domesticated, cows are abused, cows are killed; and we often turn a blind eye to these occurrences. This series attempts to address this with an aesthetic that borrows from graffiti, referencing the presence of cows as unwanted by humans or perhaps the presence of humans as unwanted by nature.
