Snow coats the air, blissful breeze blowing in the wind. This is how I imagine a 'winter wonderland' in the season. But, living in the UK, it's hard to experience a little snow... However, by drawing this piece, I understood the importance of reflecting how I'd see winter if the weather changed to the imaginative dream, I see. I focused on a painting style, including a watered down brush, digitally enhancing the trees, layer by layer. I focused on real images of trees to bring out the real textures and details of them, including the snow and bark. I used colours, like prussian blues, icy whites and olive greens. Winter wonderland don't have to all be bustling rides and funfairs like the one in London!
