The lord of land and skies

This painting comes from many starting points. My first love of art as a young artist was Landseer and his Monarch of the Glen. Running alongside that is my location, close enough to the Peaks to be inspired by its colour palette. I wanted to do my own version with an Autumn palette that connected the stag with the landscape.
