Downtown Toronto As Seen From A Window
Pencil on paper

My entry is a drawing of a view of Downtown Toronto and the CN Tower from a window. I was visiting family in Canada aged 14 in January 2007, and we took a trip to an old house which had been converted into a museum. During our visit, I passed by an old French window and caught sight of this incredible view of Toronto through it. The CN Tower was rising like a stalagmite above all other buildings.
I chose to use sketching pencils in this work to capture the monochrome hues in the image. I used B for the lighter matter and 6B for the darker aspects, including the frame in the window.
