Here is my collage of Cheap Street, a Street i walk down every day, that my father and grandparents would too.
Within the paving slabs, bricks, signs and skies are the names of local places, venues, events, all the bits that make my hometown so special. I have tried to capture the very feel and spirit of the town, rather than just an image. My hole is that there are so many places, so many days, that this piece is different to every viewer in the memories it conjures up, and my hope is that that are so many things to find, the onlooker will never quite get it all, forever finding something new, just like a real living town.
