Art and mental health - Session 3
Time & Location
About the Events
Session 3: Once again we are delighted to offer this opportunity to all artists and creative community to come and share the stories of how their arts have contributed to their well-being.
Time & Location; 21 November, 16:00 – 18:00 Doncaster, 13 Scot Ln, Doncaster DN1 1EW, UK
Sponsored by the National Grid, this event is for those who have found that art has been a great tool to help with life's daily challenges. Hosted by D31 art gallery in collaboration with National Grid, this event will focus on our personal stories and challenges and what role art/creativity has played in helping us to overcome or recover from these.
Participants should bring a piece of work and talk about it's relevance to their journey and what role that piece has played in their wellbeing. Talking might be hard for some people, come along anyway and we will help you tell your story in a nice, relaxed atmosphere, amongst people who will benefit from it.
Light refreshments will be provided. And each artist will receive a fee for coming along and sharing
EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY AT THE GALLERY:
At the end of the session, each participant may take home a small blank canvas and create something which reflects their feelings about the session.
The theme will be "Art therapy is a Good thing". Hopefully we will all be inspired to create something new.
At the end of all the sessions, all the created pieces will be exhibited in a very special exhibition in our gallery to celebrate the project. This exhibition is titled, The National Grid Well Being exhibition, in 2022.
Book now for your place and help us spread the word.
