About the event

We are excited to invite you to our first session of  our  long awaited program "Developing your artistic practice" 

This program which will run as a one off event each time will take you through a step by step guide about  what you should be thinking to set yourself up for success in your artistic career.  

This event is limited to only 25 Participants due to space limitations so Book you ticket early!

The event will comprises of a formal session where  our founder Chinwe Russell will explore the visual arts sector and the key players as well as the following:

Why do you create it?

What does success mean for you?

Focus on the art(style, scale, subject matter, patience, masterpieces)

Finding your niche(should you have a niche?)

Size Strategy

What type of artist are you (Vanity, commercial, Investible etc)

The session will be followed by a general discussion on best practices in the visual arts sector, what has worked for you, what has not worked. 

Our aim is that you will leave at the end of the session armed with the practical knowledge that you need to achieve a measure of success in your art career.  . 

Chinwe Russell is a Nigerian-born British artist and curator  and founded the D31 art gallery in 2020 with  a group of local artists. Since 2018 she has worked with an extensive number of artists from all over the world whose work she has exhibited and sold successfully through various projects .With nearly 30 years of professional experience across many industries and geographies, her CV encompasses Banking and Finance; Business Management and Development; Community Development; PR and Marketing; Training and Consultancy amongst others. Often solicited for speaking engagements and panel discussions, Chinwe who has also found success in her own artistic career will guide you through the session through a few case studies.  Chinwe aims for you to leave this event with a greater understanding and direction about what it takes to succeed as an arrtist.
