This painting explores the relationship between humanity and the natural world. It looks at the need for humanity to see this relationship as mutually beneficial. Created during the 2020-21 pandemic, the work explores both the erasure and rejuvination of the natural world impacted by humanities behaviour. When we withdrew from the world to combat the effects of the pandemic the natural world got stronger as we dissapeared into lockdown. This painting responds to the beauty of the natural world, our effect on it and the hope that something positive comes out of this global crisis.
